Recommendations for an adhesive treatment There are 2 techniques to take your choice for an adhesive system: • the Self-Etch-Technique (SE) or • the Total-Etch-/Etch & Rinse-Technique (TE) At the Self-Etch-Technique there is no etching with a classical acid like phosphoric acid. The adhesive system has an acid component incorporated, like at FANTESTIC ® FLOWSIVE SE:  Self-Etch-System By using Total-Etch-/Etch & Rinse-Technique, after etching and application of an adhesive system and before using a self-cure or a dual-curing composite, always an activator must be used, to make sure that this system is dual-curing:  Total-Etch-System FANTESTIC ® ETCH + FANTESTIC ® FLOWSIVE 2 + FANTESTIC ® FLOWSIVE ACTIVATOR Note: In the case a restoration (ceramic should be silanized) will be adhered without light-curing, that means only by a self-curing process (auto-polymerisation) with a dual-curing composite cement, a dual-curing adhesive system must be use. If the adhesive will be only light-cured, the composite cement should be light-cured, too, in the other case the adhesive system should be dual-cure, too, like:
FANTESTIC ® ETCH + FLOWSIVE (or FLOWSIVE 2) + FLOWSIVE ACTIVATOR + FLOWFILLCEM DC + (a silanized) RESTORATION.
Caution: Self-etching and only light-curing adhesives (consisting of only 1 component) could inhibit the polymerization of self-curing or dual-curing composite cements!
