There are two technics which can be used choosing the right adhesive system:

• Self-Etch-Technique (SE) or

• Total-Etch-Technique (TE)

By using the Self-Etch-Technique there is no need for etching with a classical acid, like phosphoric acid. The adhesive system itself has incorporated an acid component, see the adhesive system FANTESTIC FLOWSIVE SE:

Self-Etch-System

By using the Total-Etch-Technique, that means after etching and applying an adhesive system and using self- or dual-cure composites, there must be used always an activator component for makling the system dual-cure:

Note: In the case a restoration (ceramic should be silanized) will be adhered without light-cure, that means only by a self-curing process (auto-polymerization) with a dual-cure composite cement, a dual-cure adhesive system must be use. If the adhesive will be only light-cured, the composite cement should be light-cured, too, in the other case the adhesive system should be dual-cure, too, like:

FANTESTIC ETCH + FLOWSIVE (oder FLOWSIVE 2) + FLOWSIVE ACTIVATOR + FLOWFILLCEM DC + (eine silanisierte) RESTAURATION.

Caution: Self-etching and only light-cure adhesives (consisting of only 1 component) could inhibit the polymerization of self-curing or dual-cure composite cements!
